Why not...... |
Jennifer Love Hewitt co-Executive Produced and portrayed Audrey Hepburn in the TV miniseries, "The Audrey Hepburn Story". The ABC Television broadcast made-for TV bio scored a Number One hit in its time slot on March 27, 2000. But Jennifer Love Hewitt and her daughter, Audrey Hepburn (not really) will return again in a motion picture titled, "Why Can't I Be Audrey Hepburn?" |
The movie was going to be co-produced, distributed and finaced by DreamWorks, than Paramount Classics-a division of Paramount Pictures Corporation, A Viacom Company. But now Myriad Pictures, Beverly Hills, CA has just boarded the project and will finance, produce and handle worldwide distribution with Palomar Pictures. Here's an update on the story of the movie: In "Hepburn," Hewitt will play Perry Forman, a 25-year-old woman (25?!) who moves from Ohio to Los Angeles and quickly has it all -- a job at a local news station and a fiance. In the course of one week, she is left at the altar and loses her job. In trying to rebuild her life, she turns to her fiance's best man, who shares her love of Audrey Hepburn movies, only to find out that he uses facts about Hepburn to pick up women. Ryan Murphy, a former newspaper and magazine writer, and partnered with actress Delta Burke is set to make his feature directorial debut with the romantic comedy "Why Can't I Be Audrey Hepburn," which he also wrote. Murphy also directed several episodes of the WB TV series, "Popular." Murphy, now repped by CAA (which Jennifer Love Hewitt is also repped by), was repped in the deal by WMA (which Jennifer Love Hewitt was also repped by). Subject to change. AND HERE ARE THE CHANGES: |
UPDATE: MAY 10, 2002: The "Hepburn" Production is now in the hands of Love Spell Entertainment! The movie was to go before the camera(s) in the Los Angeles area sometime in 2002. But now it's in the creative hands of Love, Jill Gilbert and Kim Kovac and being develop. Myriad Pictures and Palomar Pictures are still involved. |
UPDATE: NOVEMBER 13, 2002: |
That's right---Tommy Mattola and Michael ("Out of His Mind") Jackson. During the fight of racism between Jackson and Sony Music---still continuing to this day---they took a break from their "he said/he said" and forked over $157 million to Gaylord. Sony/ATV is also the same company that use to own just about HALF of the Beatles music publishing, Northern Songs Limited. Not anymore. Paul McCartney got them back. Long story...forget about it. The "WHY" movie is hopefully scheduled for a 2004 release. |
