All about Jamie and Eli.....

He had his own prank show and rapped with Bob Saget. Starting this fall, Jamie Kennedy tackles poltergeists with Jennifer Love Hewitt as a series regular on Ghost Whisperer.

TV GUIDE: What can you tell us about your character, Eli?

JAMIE KENNEDY: I'm a grad student who also works as a psychologist. There's an accident, they pronounce me dead and then they revive me. After, I have this new talent.

Will you help Melinda fight ghosts?

I know that I have this special power but I don't really know how to use it. And I'm learning as I go. And I'm conflicted.

Will you be the set prankster?

It's hard, because I've never had to learn so much dialogue before. When you do a movie, you shoot a page every two days and have four lines. Here, I'm always concentrating.

Were you a fan of the show?

I love watching Love. It doesn't hurt to be doing scenes with TV GUIDE'S sexiest star. Maybe next year I can be TV GUIDE's sexiest star's sidekick.

Did the Universal lot fires affect you?

It's crazy. The episode that I'm introduced in is called "Fire Starter." The first thing that burned was my character's apartment. They were writing it [before it happened]. And it was apparently a coincidence. I don't know .... Are there ghosts on set?
