Fast National ratings for
Friday, February 6, 2009
CBS kept up its string of Friday ratings dominance for
another week as no other network really came close to its
drama lineup.
The Eye's 6.5 rating/11 share in primetime led the field by
a pretty good margin. ABC, 4.2/7, finished second but
trailed CBS by about 4 million total viewers. NBC and FOX
tied for third at 2.8/5. The CW managed only a meager 0.7/1.
CBS also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.4 rating.
ABC drew a 2.1 to take second. FOX and NBC tied again in the
demo at 1.4, while The CW trailed at 0.4.
"Ghost Whisperer," 7.1/13, grabbed
the night's biggest audience for CBS at 8 p.m. "Wife Swap,"
3.3/6, was a distant second for ABC. FOX ran "Cops" on a
Friday and earned a 2.8/5, edging the 2.7/5 for "Howie Do
It" on NBC. The CW aired "Everybody Hates Chris" and a rerun
of "The Game."
A "Flashpoint" rerun, 6.0/10, kept CBS on top at 9 p.m. ABC
improved to 4.4/7 with "Supernanny." FOX stayed in third
with "America's Most Wanted." NBC got a 2.5/4 from "Friday
Night Lights," and "13 - Fear Is Real" delivered a
frightfully small 0.5/1 for The CW.
CBS completed its sweep of the night at 10 p.m. with
"Numb3rs," 6.5/11. ABC's "20/20" drew a 5.0/9, beating the
3.2/6 for "Dateline" on NBC.
