After last week's shocker, "Ghost Whisperer" scored huge numbers
to help CBS win another Friday.
Overall, CBS averaged a 6.0 rating/11 share, far ahead of the
3.9/7 for ABC and the 3.3/6 for FOX. NBC's 2.8/5 was enough for
fourth, beating the 1.1/2 for The CW.
Among adults 18-49, CBS had a 2.2 rating, for a win in the
all-important demographic. ABC was second with a 1.7 rating,
while FOX's 1.4 and NBC's 1.2 rating followed. The CW again
trailed with a 0.6 rating.
In the 8 p.m.
hour "Ghost Whisperer" gave CBS a robust 7.2/13, far above
its season averages. FOX's "Are You Smarter Than a 5th
Grader" and NBC's "Deal or No Deal" tied for second with a
3.5/6, while ABC was fourth with "Supernanny."
On The CW, "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game" averaged
1.2/2 for the hour.
At 9 p.m. CBS' "The Price Is Right Salutes the Troops"
special won the hour with a 4.7/8, far below the audience
drawn by "NCIS" repeats in recent weeks. ABC's "Supernanny"
was second with a 3.3/6, nipping "Don't Forget the Lyrics"
on FOX. NBC's "Crusoe" had a 2.7/5 and beat The CW's
"America's Next Top Model" encore.
CBS closed out its evening sweep with a 6.0/11 for
"Numb3rs." ABC's Barbara Walters Special had a 5.4/10 for
second, while NBC's "Lipstick Jungle" limped into third with
a 2.4/4.
