Fast National ratings for Friday, June 30, 2006 Ratings were soft Friday as people began their long Fourth of July weekend, with CBS drawing enough viewers to beat NBC for the top spot. |
CBS earned a 4.3 rating/9 share for the night, topping NBC's 3.8/8. ABC finished third with a 3.4/7. UPN, 2.4/5, came in fourth, followed by FOX, 1.5/3, and The WB, 1.3/3. In the adults 18-49 demographic, ABC and CBS tied for first with ratings of 1.5. NBC was right behind at 1.4. UPN took fourth with a 1.2. FOX averaged 0.8 and The WB 0.7. "Dateline" gave NBC the lead at 8 p.m. with a 4.3/9. A rerun of "Ghost Whisperer" on CBS posted a 3.8/8, a little better than "America's Funniest Home Videos," 3.5/7, on ABC. The first half of "Friday Night Smackdown!" was fourth for UPN with a 2.2/5. FOX's "24" repeat was fifth, beating out "What I Like About You" and "Twins" on The WB. |
CBS moved in fr ont at 9 p.m. with "Close to Home," 4.4/9. ABC got a 3.4/7 from the ABC Family show "Kyle XY." NBC dropped to third with a "Las Vegas" repeat, 2.6/6. "Smackdown!" kept UPN in fourth. Another episode of "24" averaged 1.6/3 for FOX, edging The WB's "Reba" and "Living with Fran." "Numb3rs" won the 10 p.m. hour for CBS with a 4.7/10, edging the 4.5/9 NBC got from a "Law & Order" repeat. ABC's "20/20" came in at 3.3/6.
