LOS ANGELES, CA --- Fast National ratings for Friday, January 13, 2006

ABC had the biggest show of the night in "Dancing with the Stars," but the consistency of CBS' lineup helped it win the ratings battle Friday.

CBS averaged a 7.6 rating/13 share in primetime to beat out ABC's 7.0/12. NBC took third with a 5.4/9. UPN, 3.2/5, finished fourth, followed by FOX, 3.0/5, and The WB, 1.8/3.

The story was much the same among adults 18-49, with CBS leading the way with a 3.3 rating. ABC, 3.1, was a close second, and NBC finished third at 2.5. FOX's 2.1 was good for fourth, beating UPN's 1.9 and The WB's 1.1.

The "Dancing with the Stars" results show won the 8 p.m. hour for ABC with an 8.8/15, the night's highest rating. "Ghost Whisperer" was second for CBS at 7.1/12. "Most Outrageous TV Moments" put NBC in third.

"Friday Night Smackdown!" collared a 2.9/5 for UPN, beating the 2.5/4 average for FOX's "Bernie Mac Show" and "Malcolm in the Middle." The WB went with "What I Like About You" and "Living with Fran."

CBS took the lead at 9 p.m. with "Close to Home," 7.4/12. "Dateline," 6.7/11, moved NBC into second, while ABC fell to third with "In Justice," 5.5/9. "Trading Spouses" was fourth for FOX with a 3.5/6, beating the second hour of "Smackdown!" on UPN. The WB trailed with "Reba" and "Twins."

At 10 p.m., "Numb3rs" scored an 8.3/14 for CBS to beat ABC's "20/20," 6.8/12, and NBC's "Book of Daniel," 4.7/8.
