Love on TV on her own..... |
|
Jennifer Love Hewitt has conquered both the big and small screens, but so far her dreams of being a rock and roll star have eluded her. Now the perky Party of Five beauty has another shot at topping the charts. Daily Variety reports that Hewitt will be crooning the first single from the soundtrack to I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. The trade says that if the little ditty, titled "How Do I Deal," catches on, the plan is for the 19-year-old cover girl to land her very own recording contract. Hewitt, who is getting her own Po5 spin-off next season, finished work on a music video of the single this week. And call us kooky, but we have a feeling it will go into heavy rotation on MTV. Hewitt is no musical newbie. She has three previous albums to her credit, none of which burned up the charts. And fans of Po5 will recall her brief stint on the show as the lead singer of a rock band. |
"I think people will be tremendously surprised that she can actually sing," song co-producer David Foster tells the trade. "And if she ever decided to pursue a full-time recording career, she could be huge." I Still Know, which also stars songbird Brandy, hits screens Nov. 20 Story: © 1998 ABC
