Of course it is!......

Launching new series is never an easy proposition. Take a look back at the fall season when "Just Legal," "Reunion," "Hot Properties" and "Sex, Love and Secrets" premiered. All got a big push when they started, and all are gone and mostly forgotten. But there are always a few exceptions, a few series that make it in the ratings, and "Ghost Whisperer" star JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT is happy hers is one of them.

"I was unbelievably surprised and so grateful to be a part of it," she tells ET. "When I was on 'Party of Five,' which was a successful show, I had no appreciation for how hard that is to do on television. Now that I have had some down time, and I have watched my favorite TV shows and I have seen my favorite TV shows canceled, I have a bigger appreciation of what it means to have a show be successful. I feel so incredibly lucky. I hope it doesn't end for awhile."

On the supernatural series, Jennifer plays Melinda Gordon, who has the ability to communicate with earthbound spirits and help them cross over to the other side. It wasn't until after the third episode aired and "Ghost Whisperer" had won its timeslot that Jennifer began to have a clue that the show was a hit. She was even more impressed when people started coming up to her and quoting lines from the show. "They were really paying attention," she says, sounding surprised.

Of course, with only three regular cast members -- Jennifer, DAVID CONRAD, who plays her husband, and AISHA TYLER, who plays her best friend, the 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' star doesn't have much time for a personal life. She is in almost every scene.

"It has definitely been crazy," she admits. "As the only person on the show who can actually talk to the dead people, I am always there."

As busy as she is, Jennifer is considering doing a movie during her hiatus. But for now, she relaxes with bubble baths, massages and a new hobby.

"I have learned to crochet," she reveals. "It has saved me so much during the day, because it allows me to shut my brain off long enough to forget I am at work during long breaks and at lunch."
